The pair started investing in 2007, joining Sheffield-based council schemes supporting homeless people, ex-offenders, refugees, and safe affordable housing for local families. Always with the ethos that they should provide high quality housing, they have grown their portfolio to 10 properties worth over £1.4 million.

“It might seem like a small business compared to those of some investors,” explains Mark, “but it’s both sizeable for the region, and fits our goal of providing a reasonable pension pot that will continue to grow as we add more properties.”
